Iām in the first year of the Systems Transformation Pathway here at Atlantic college, a course created to teach students how to think systemically, and intervene in those systems to make effective change. As part of that I have been lucky enough to be selected to attend the Villars Symposium in Switzerland in June 2026, and become a fellow of the institute! The Villars Institute, founded by Marco Dunand and Suzan Craig, brings together diverse stakeholders to promote systemic leverage and radical imagination in order to address the climate and diversity crisis and advance structural nature positive solutions.
My work in Aquaponics formed the basis of my application, after making a video for the first round, a number of us applicants were put forward to a discussion/interview with a villars fellow from which 12 were selected. I have added my application video below if you would like to see it.

It will be an amazing opportunity to meet with world leaders and grow my understanding of how to address environmental challenges through systemic, collaborative approaches, and I am really excited!
